Adventure Awaits at San Rafael River Adventure

It’s the freakin’ weekend! And if you’re looking for a new adventure destination, head on to San Rafael River Adventure!

Saw this property featured on a local lifestyle show and by the looks of it, I was intrigued. So when we were looking for weekend getaway near Manila, this was on top of my list. Checked out their site and dropped an email (they don’t have online bookings yet) to my surprise I got a reply from one of the staff on Facebook. It’s nice that they are social however, I think replying using a personal account was a bit odd. None the less, was able to communicate with them and reserved a Glass Cottage for a group.

I really like the design of their cottages, utilizing two way mirrors as walls, you feel like you’re still out in the wild but you are actually indoors with air conditioning plus a hot rain-shower head, also their rentals are reasonably priced, I love this place!

And there are other cool accommodation to choose from. Hint: glamping!

This property was just an events place of the owners but then just recently, they turned it into a resort and naming it after their town, San Rafael. Situated next to Angat River, San Rafael River Adventure offers a lot of activities.

Swim in to this infinity pool.

Or some fresh water adventure.

You can even rent a raft and have lunch on board. As for us, we didn’t rent a raft but surely had a hearty in house lunch.

And some land activities like biking, ATV or horseback riding.

There are just a couple of things I want to point out, (1) online reservations / bookings need improvement; (2) in house staff needs a little more training, and until now I was wondering where our butler went? because he wasn’t around much when we were there; (3) not a big fan of caged animals (4) the terrible traffic going and leaving the place (Baliuag and Bustos area).

Well to top it off, whether you are up for an adventure or to just simply be around nature with resort amenities, San Rafael River Adventure is a perfect fit!
